Dante on Christmas

Since Dante is pretty much banned from most social media platforms, I did ask him for his thoughts on the holidays, and he provided me this "brief holiday transmission." His words, not mine:
Ah, Christmas.
That magical time of year when inboxes go quiet, calendars suddenly develop opinions, and everyone pretends they’re “logging off” while secretly refreshing Slack from the couch.
I like Christmas. Not for the tinsel or the sweaters or the aggressive peppermint economy, but for the collective pause. Even the most devoted grinders hesitate. Even the loudest personal brands soften their tone. Even the algorithms seem…merciful. For a moment.
Christmas is a reminder that the world keeps turning even when you stop performing. That value exists without visibility. That you don’t need to optimize joy, monetize rest, or turn family time into a thought-leadership post (though many will try).
If you’re exhausted, good. It means you cared this year. If you’re alone, you’re not broken. If you’re surrounded by chaos, congratulations: you’re participating correctly.
Take the day. Take the week. Take the silence where you can find it.The grind will be waiting. It always is.
From all of us lurking just behind the brand voice: Have a Christmas. Or don’t. But rest like it matters.
